Arsenal have reportedly put their pursuit of Alexandra Lacazette to one side.

Get French Football News is reporting that the Gunners are looking elsewhere for strike options while they assess just how much they should spend on the Lyon striker.

This week it was reported that Arsene Wenger would strengthen his chase for Lacazette if he were to miss out on Napoli's Gonzalo Higuain but fresh reports indicate that he has put the Frenchman, who is also on the radar of PSG, on the back burner for now.

It is also believed that Wenger has not spoken directly to either Lyon or Lacazette, rather used several intermediaries to suss out a potential deal, which at this point in time would cost the North Londoners just under £50million (€60m).
