Arsenal won't drop their pursuit of Brentford goalkeeper David Raya.
Arsenal will make a fresh attempt to sign Raya next year but appear likely to settle with Alex Runarsson as their No2 to Bernd Leno this summer.
Raya signed a new long-term contract with Brentford on Friday to commit his future to the Championship promotion chasers. The 25-year-old has extended his stay at the Brentford Community Stadium until 2024 after a solid first campaign at the club.
The Telegraph says Arsenal are expected to return with a fresh attempt to sign Raya in 2021, in spite of his new deal.
Raya was the subject of multiple rejected bids of around £10m this summer with Arsenal viewing the Spaniard as a keeper who could can provide greater competition for first-choice Leno.
