Arsenal have opened talks with Ainsley Maitland-Niles about a new contract.

The England Under-21 ace has just 18-months left on his contract, and do not want to lose him on a free, says The Sun.

The Gunners have already held discussions with his representatives over fresh terms, which would see him gain a huge pay increase.

The 20-year-old has put in a string of solid performances for Arsenal so far this campaign, while playing at left-back.

Maitland-Niles made his first-team debut for Arsene Wenger's side in December 2014.
