Arsenal are on the brink of selling Laurent Koscielny to Bordeaux.

Koscielny refused to go on the Gunners' pre-season tour of the United States last month and has been demanding a move back to France.

L'Equipe says Bordeaux have been trying to bring in Koscielny - who was preparing for a legal battle with his employers after being told to take a 50 per cent pay cut - on a three-year deal.

But they faced competition from Rennes for the veteran defender, who it was last month claimed had agreed terms with Koscielny.

But that looks to have fallen by the wayside now, with Bordeaux apparently beating fellow French top flight rivals Lyon to land the former Lorient star.
