Arsenal, Newcastle learn asking price as Lille prepared to offload David

Lille are prepared to part ways with Jonathan David this summer, reports have revealed.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano says Lille are looking to offload a number of players this summer as they struggle in ninth position in Ligue 1.

David is one of those players and the news is welcomed by Arsenal and Newcastle United.

Both Premier League clubs have been scouting the Canadian striker this season.

The 22-year-old is Lille's top scorer, scoring 17 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions.

It is believed that a bid of £42million would be enough to secure David's signature.

The Gunners are hunting a striker this summer and David has been on their wish-list, along with Darwin Nunez and Alexander Isak.
