Arsenal moving for Valencia winger Ferran Torres

Arsenal are moving for Valencia winger Ferran Torres.

The Daily Mail says Torres, 19, is attracting admiring glances following an eye-catching first full season at Valencia, helping them finish fourth in La Liga and reach the Europa League semi-finals.

Torres, one of Valencia's standout performers this campaign, has made 37 appearances and featured in the second leg of Valencia's semi-final against Arsenal.

Arsenal's failure to qualify for the Champions League will limit boss Unai Emery's summer transfer budget before player sales and force the Gunners to consider cheaper alternatives.

The north Londoners had been planning a move for Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha, valued at £80m by his club.

But Palace's price tag and Arsenal's lack of Champions League football is set to put him out of reach and along with Bournemouth's Ryan Fraser, the speedy and skilful Torres is among the other options on Arsenal's radar.

Valencia sources believe the Spain under-19 international, whose current deal expires in 2021, could be prised away for around £25m if a future sell-on clause is included in any deal.
