Arsenal are moving for Espanyol midfielder Marc Roca.

The 23 year-old has been a long-term target for Bayern Munich - and attracted enquiries last summer.

But Marca says Arsenal have now emerged as serious suitors.

The Gunners see Roca as a replacement for on-loan Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, who has expressed doubts about extending his stay beyond the end of this season.

Roca has a deal to 2022 with Espanyol, which has a buyout clause of €40m.
