Arsenal move for Gladbach ace Zakaria hits snag after Edu given green light

Arsenal's move for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria has hit an unfortunate roadblock.

The German club are willing to part with the Switzerland star as he enters the final year of his contract.

The Mirror says Gunners technical director Edu has been given the green light to complete the €30m deal.

However, the move is being held up after Zakaria tested positive for coronavirus.

Manchester City are also interested in the 24-year-old.

Mikel Arteta has already signed young midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga, but Zakaria will provide his team with a veteran presence having made 128 appearances for Gladbach.
