Arsenal have made a move for Fiorentina midfielder Jordan Veretout.

L'Equipe says Arsenal approached Fiorentina for Frenchman Veretout.

Veretout, who joined Italian side Fiorentina from Aston Villa, has impressed in the 33 Serie A fixtures he featured in last season.

In April, reports in Italy suggested the player's agent travelled to London and watched the first leg of the Europa League tie with Napoli.
