Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has revealed a recent offer from Hertha Berlin.

The Switzerland international admits he is no longer considering a return to the Bundesliga.

He told Sport1: "For me this is really no longer an issue. Yes, there was contact and also an offer, but in the end I decided to stay here in London and after three and a half years not to cancel everything that I had built up.

"I am now concentrating on this with all my strength and motivation and hope that we can get back on the pitch soon."

On manager Mikel Arteta, Xhaka added: “For me, Mikel actually started something like a new start. I had very good discussions with him right from the start, in which he showed me what he expects of me, how much he needs me in the team and how he appreciates me as a player."
