Granit Xhaka has sent a message to Arsenal supporters after he gave away a penalty in Sunday's North London derby draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
The Swiss international fouled Heung-min Son with a poorly timed challenge to allow Harry Kane to make it 2-0 from the penalty spot.
The Gunners eventually came back to secure a 2-2 draw, and writing on Instagram after the game, Xhaka was repentant for his actions.
"Thanks for the amazing support inside the Emirates,' Xhaka wrote.
"We showed a lot of character and you helped us to come back into the game. For the penalty I made a mistake – I'm of course angry about it but I will never give up!"
