Arsenal midfielder Xhaka ends Zaha penalty debate

Listen up Arsenal fans…

Granit Xhaka has admitted he fouled Wilfried Zaha in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace.

Social media blew up with incensed Arsenal fans who believed Zaha initiated contact with Xhaka to earn a penalty for Palace, which was eventually converted by Luka Milivojevic level the scores.

But Xhaka says it was a clear foul on the Ivorian.

The Swiss said: "It was a clear penalty. I came too late and I touched him."

On the result, Xhaka added: "We can't be happy because for me we have lost two points. If you are 1-0 down and you change the game and come back to lead 2-1 then you must be clever at the end.

"We know the Premier League is difficult and we know we can't win all the games. Palace are difficult at home, but it was not our best game."
