Arsenal midfielder Wilshere disappointed with England draw

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere was disappointed with England's 2-2 draw with Switzerland.

Wilshere was at the heart of England's best moves.

Wilshere said:" I am disappointed we didn't get the three points but we showed good character to come back well.

"In the end we could have won it. It has worked well for me, the 4-3-3 system plus Ashley (Young) has come on and has shown good character and got a good goal."

Fabio Capello was concerned about his players being tired. He added: "The difference between the two sides was the energy. The Swiss were much fresher than us. After a very bad start it was important to draw.

"We didn't help ourselves conceding the opening goal but I was disappointed with the second goal they scored because the wall didn't stay tight enough and Joe Hart's view was obstructed.

"But we showed plenty of character to fight back. At 2-2 we had four chances to score and missed all of them. But I could also see in the last 10 minutes some England players were without energy. It's been a long season for them."
