Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira was delighted with their 2-0 win over Southampton.

Torreira was particularly happy for Alexandre Lacazette after he struck in the triumph.

He said, "I think it was a very important win today. We obviously knew that Southampton were the team that put an end to our unbeaten run earlier in the season. I think we played very well. In terms of Laca, personally I think we all know how important he is for the team.

"He does a lot of work for us both in attack and defence. I think we saw today and in previous games the importance that he has for the team."

On Bernd Leno's clean sheet, Torreira added: "Bernd's a very important player, he's been growing throughout the season. We're really happy to have him between the sticks for us. He's very strong in terms of playing with his feet as well and we're happy to get the three points today."
