Arsenal's forgotten star Emile Smith Rowe is nearing a return to full fitness.

The midfielder has flown under the radar this season due to his injury problems.

Smith Rowe has missed most of his side's Premier League games, as they sit top of the Premier League at the World Cup break.

Smith Rowe went through with surgery to fix an ongoing groin issue in September.

"Hopefully [I'll be back] by the first game after the World Cup," he said recently to Sky Sports at a Formula One race.

"I'm actually out here doing rehab, today was my day off, I'm back training tomorrow. I'm back on the pitch, it's going well."
