Manchester United's Jose Mourinho is plotting a sensational summer pursuit of Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey.

That is the opinion of The Sun who are reporting that Mourinho wants the Welsh midfielder at Old Trafford.

It is believed that the Portuguese wants to make Ramsey his Man Utd version of Chelsea great Frank Lampard and will go after him if he misses out on Borussia Dortmund's Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

25-year-old Ramsey is believed to be valued at around £50million, such is Arsenal's desire to keep him at the Emirates Stadium, but Mourinho could make a nuisance of himself in the transfer window in a bid to upset long-time rival Arsene Wenger.

United have reportedly made an increased offer for Armenia international Mkhitaryan but if that is turned down, Mou may turn his attention to Ramsey and test the resolve of Arsenal by lodging an initial £35m proposal.
