Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard still sees his future with parent club Real Madrid.
The Norway captain has won plenty of plaudits since moving to the Gunners for his all-round displays and brilliant ability to link up play in attack - with his performance in the thrilling 3-3 draw at West Ham his best to date.
But Marca says Arsenal's hopes of landing Odegaard on a permanent deal beyond the season look to have taken a huge blow as Madrid are said to 'not even be contemplating' a permanent sale of the midfielder.
The report claims that the Spanish giants still view the No 10 as a fundamental part of their team in the future, despite his lack of game time in the capital.
And in a further blow to the Gunners, Odegaard is reportedly still determined to succeed at Madrid.
However, before returning Odegaard wants clarity over the managerial situation and to know who will be in the dugout in the summer with question marks over the future of Zinedine Zidane. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder has struggled to win the trust of Zidane.
