Arsenal midfielder Mateo Guendouzi played down his superb performance for France U21 this week.
France coach Sylvain Ripoll called up Guendouzi for the 2-2 draw with Croatia and was rewarded with an outstanding display.
Afterwards, Guendouzi shrugged off his impact: "There are already some leaders in the team who are in place. I try to be as I am whether in Arsenal, Lorient or here with the Espoirs.
"I stay as I am, it's my attitude on the ground. I always want to win so it is transcribed by gestures on the ground, but I will not change much."
He also said: "They made me very comfortable, they made things easier today (Thursday). They gave me a lot of balls, I was able to create a lot of things so it's also thanks to my teammates if I made a good performance tonight. I always try to adapt to the team I'm working with."
