Arsenal midfielder Aneke facing crunch Crewe transfer decision

Arsenal midfielder Chuks Aneke's future at Crewe Alexandra is set to be decided next week.

The Sentinel says Arsenal say he cannot play in the FA Cup unless he stays with Crewe for the rest of the season.

The play-maker is on loan at Gresty Road until January, with his contract at his parent club due to expire in the summer.

Alex boss Steve Davis explained: "We haven't had agreement from Arsenal for Chuks yet because they were saying they would only grant permission if we took him for the whole season.

"I spoke to Chuks on Monday and he's going to come back with what he wants to do. We have to know if he wants to stay beyond January first of all.

"He's going to speak to Arsenal, speak to his agent and speak to his family. It's the last year of his contract so he might want to be around Arsenal."
