Arsenal, Marseille in contact with Juventus defender Medhi Benatia

Arsenal remain in contact with Juventus defender Medhi Benatia.

Tuttosport says Arsenal and Marseille are going head-to-head for Benatia.

Benatia has spent the past two seasons at the Allianz Stadium having initially joined the Serie A giants on loan.

He revealed after Morocco's 1-0 World Cup defeat to Portugal that he could leave Juventus though.

"I'm fine in Turin and after the holidays I'll talk with the company, but at the age of 31 we need to make choices," said Benatia.

Arsenal and Marseille want the centre-back, who's valued at £17m (€20m).
