Arsenal manager Emery scouts Atletico Madrid midfielder

Arsenal manager Unai Emery was back in Spain on Saturday on a scouting mission.

The Mirror says Emery already seems to be making plans for next season and was present as Diego Simeone's side finished their La Liga campaign with a 2-2 draw at Levante.

The Spaniard will reportedly be given around £40 million to spend this summer, although that sum could increase if the club do qualify for the Champions League.

One player already linked with a move to the Emirates this summer is Atletico midfielder Thomas Partey, who started the La Liga clash before being replaced by Sergio Camello at half time.

With Aaron Ramsey already confirmed to be leaving for Juventus , Emery's presence is sure to intensify talks of a move for the 25-year-old as he looks to strengthen in the middle of the park.
