Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta disagrees with Pep Guardiola over Philippe Coutinho.
The Brazilian is available this summer after Bayern Munich turned down their option to complete a permanent deal once his loan expires.
Arteta has reportedly spoken with Coutinho's agent, Kia Joorabachian, about facilitating a transfer, which would go against the advice of the Spaniard's mentor in Guardiola.
According to The Mirror, Guardiola rejected the chance to sign Coutinho last summer because he wouldn't fit in his high-pressing system.
However, Arteta is an admirer of the 27-year-old and wants to manage him at the Emirates.
He is also a proven performer in the Premier League, having starred for Liverpool before his £142m switch to Barca in 2018.
