Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was full of praise for defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.
The Japanese international was starting in the unfamiliar position of left-back, rather than his usual right-back spot.
Despite the last-minute position change, Tomiyasu was outstanding against Liverpool in a 3-2 win at home on Sunday.
Post-game, Arteta told reporters: “Very good. That's what we hoped he would do and he did that.
“To think about doing that against Salah and actually doing it is a different story.
“Especially after playing on Thursday and what he's been through in the past few weeks."
