Arsenal and Manchester United's hopes of luring Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to the Premier League have taken a blow, with Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel indicating his star striker is not for sale.
The 26-year-old Gabon international has scored 33 goals in 38 appearances this season and captured the attention of some of Europe's top clubs in the process, including the Gunners, Red Devils and Spanish giants Real Madrid who are reported to have a pre-contract agreement in place.
However, Dortmund boss Tuchel expects the prolific goalscorer to remain at Westfalenstadion where he is contracted until 2020.
"Everybody has to accept he has a long-term contract without the possibility to step out," Tuchel said in the wake of Thursday night's 3-0 Europa League win over Tottenham Hotspur win which Aubameyang score the opening goal.
"I can imagine a lot of clubs see his performance, his talent and his personality and imagine Auba plays for them.
"But we have our own goals. We want to keep this squad together and develop into something extraordinary. We want to have players that lift our status.
"It is not our goal to give him away. I cannot see the future but if you ask me as a coach, I'm very happy he has a long-term contract."
