Arsenal have made a contract offer to Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves.

The Mirror says Arsenal have offered Neves a contract as they step up their search for a new midfielder.

The Gunners have pulled out of the race to sign Manuel Locatelli from Sassuolo after facing competition from Juventus and are now turning back to Wolves star Neves.

The Midlands club are set to sell the Portuguese international this summer

And Italian journalist Nicolo Schira reports the Gunners have offered him a five-year deal.
