Arsenal have contacted Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho's representatives about a summer move.

The Brazilian playmaker is excelling during a second half of the season loan at Aston Villa at the moment.

While Villa can secure him permanently in the summer, they may balk at paying £33 million to Barca.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Arsenal are considering taking advantage of the situation to sign Coutinho.

The playmaker has always impressed in the Premier League, even during his time at Liverpool.
