Arsenal are locked in negotiations with Real Madrid for midfielder Sami Khedira. The London Evening Standard says they have opened negotiations with Real Madrid for Germany midfielder Khedira, who has significantly rejected a new deal at the Spanish giants.

But with Khedira earning £150,000-a-week, they're also looking at Bayer Leverkusen's Lars Bender and Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin for the holding midfield role.
