Jack Wilshere managed to take to the training pitch with AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday.
The midfielder, on loan from Arsenal, underwent a scan on his troublesome left ankle on Monday but was able to join in with Eddie Howe's session the following day.
The Sun reports that Wilshere, 24, had the scan as a precaution and trained fully in the driving rain with the rest of the Cherries squad.
Wilshere made his Bournemouth debut coming on as a second-half sub in the weekend's 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion and is expected to be fit for Saturday's trip to the Etihad Stadium to take on league leaders Manchester City.
