Tottenham face late Premier League competition for AS Roma winger Erik Lamela.
Talks between Lamela's agent, Pablo Sabbag, Roma sporting director, Walter Sabatini and Tottenham technical director Franco Baldini took place yesterday in London.
But Sky Sport Italia says discussions as of yet have failed to secure a deal for the 21-year-old to join Tottenham.
Arsenal and Liverpool are monitoring how the negotiations develop.
