Arsenal, Liverpool eyeing Borussia Monchengladbach defender Matthias Ginter

Arsenal and Liverpool are eyeing Borussia Monchengladbach defender Matthias Ginter.

The Daily Star says the Germany ace – well known to Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp from their days at Borussia Dortmund – has impressed since joining Gladbach in 2017.

And his form has prompted interest from the Gunners as well, with Unai Emery considering a summer move to bolster his options at the back.

Ginter, 25, is valued at around £35m by the Bundesliga side and has two more years to run on his contract at Borussia Park, with the option of a further year from 2021.

He spent three years at Dortmund after joining the club from Freiburg.
