David Seaman can't understand why German legend Franz Beckenbauer had a pop at England ahead of today's clash.
The former Arsenal goalkeeper represented his country 75 times, but it was his four matches against the Germans that stand out in his memory - and one game in particular.
"It doesn't get much better than when you beat Germany," Seaman told the Sunday Mirror.
"But it also hurts so much if you lose. I have tasted both sides - won two and lost two.
"I know which one I prefer. We have a great chance of going through this time.
"If it goes go to penalties, I would favour David James. He is immense in his stature. He seems to fill the goal.
"And if a team talk was needed, then surely Franz Beckenbauer with his comments about the England team has done it for Fabio Capello. I can't see why he said it - and that will only motivate the players. Yes, we can win."
