Arsenal legend Robert Pires has dismissed claims last summer's World Cup winners were the best France has seen.

Pires reckons that the squad is nothing compared to the '98 team he was part of.

"Sorry, no the current team was not better than us," he said.

"The 1998 team was much better.

"We played with Zinedine Zidane and Youri Djorkaeff, the quality was very, very good."
