Arsenal legend Ray Parlour believes Alexandre Lacazette represents a necessary gamble for his former club.

Lacazette signed for a club-record fee from Lyon on Wednesday.

"Every single player is a gamble, you've got to take chances with these sort of players," Parlour said on talkSPORT.

"He's got a great record in, scored lots and lots of goals.

"He's going to excite the fans and that's what they want to see, they want to see these sort of signings coming into the club because last year they came out of the top four."
