Arsenal legend Paul Merson was scathing in his assessment of Shkodran Mustafi after he left for Schalke.
The German defender has signed for the Bundesliga club permanently, after terminating his contract with the Gunners.
Merson was on Sky Sports as part of their deadline day coverage.
When asked if the Gunners should let Mustafi go, he did not mince words.
"Yeah," Merson replied. "And he'll keep that record going as well at Schalke."
Merson was referring to Schalke's poor defensive record this season, where they have conceded 49 goals in 19 games in the league.
"He'll keep that record going at Schalke."
