Lee Dixon believes Pep Guardiola will keep the pressure on his Manchester City squad this season.
The Spaniard has started his reign at the Etihad Stadium in fine fashion with seven straight wins in all competitions thus far.
Wednesday night saw a commanding 4-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach in their opening Champions League match which in the past would have the playing group feeling they had done enough.
But according to former Arsenal star Dixon, that will not occur under the guidance of Guardiola.
"He's got the players' attention," he told ITV.
"4-0 win, playing a certain way, next game he'll probably change it.
"He's always thinking about new ideas.
"I think it's in Man City's DNA over a number of years that they take their foot off the gas and relax a bit. It won't happen under this manager."
