Arsenal are chasing a deal for Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
The Mirror says the Gunners, whose transfers are being overseen by director of recruitment Sven Mislintat, are looking for a long-term replacement for Petr Cech.
The 26-year-old has come through the ranks at the Bayer Arena and is now hotly-tipped to go to the World Cup as Germany's number one.
The Gunners know the player has a buy-out clause.
That has been set at around €25m – around £22m – which means he will offer good value given that he has over 200 first-team appearances in the Bundesliga under his belt.
