Arsenal have moved to upgrade the contract of William Saliba.
The London Evening News says Arsenal have held preliminary talks with Saliba over a new contract.
The 21-year-old Frenchman has been in sensational form this season, and he put in another fine performance on Saturday, as he helped the Gunners beat Tottenham 3-1 to stay top of the Premier League.
Centre-back Saliba joined Arsenal in 2019 from Saint-Etienne for £27million, but he only made his debut this year after being loaned out for the past three seasons.
Saliba has quickly become a key part of Mikel Arteta's defence and the club wants to tie him down to fresh terms, with less then two years left to run on his current contract.
