Szczesny was shown a straight red card for bringing down Arjen Robben in the box after 35 minutes, a pivotal moment in the first leg match. But it is understood Italian referee Nicola Rizzoli did not include the gesture in his report, meaning Szczesny is likely to avoid any additional ban.
