Arsenal keeper Cech: Winning goal a 'sweet reward' for Welbeck

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech believes that Danny Welbeck's injury-time winner in the 2-1 win over Leicester City was a sweet reward for the 25-year-old following his injury struggles.

The England international scored the all-important winner for the Gunners in his first senior appearance following a ten-month injury layoff and Cech feels it is a nice little gift for the talented forward.

Cech said: "It is a sweet reward for him. He has been working really hard and he had a setback and then he had to have the operation.

"He had to start all over again and we could see in the last couple of weeks he looked really sharp and confident in training.

"He had a game for the under-21s which helped him get into the game and I thought today was fantastic for him. He really deserved his goal."
