Arsenal keeper Cech admits Spurs loss was costly

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech cannot hide his disappointment following the 2-0 North London derby loss against Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal suffered a 2-0 defeat on Sunday at the hands of fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the last ever North London Derby at White Hart Lane and it has to be said that the Gunners could have no complaints whatsoever regarding the result.

Arsenal could have suffered a defeat with a bigger margin if it were not for goalkeeper Petr Cech and following the game; the Gunners' custodian has admitted that he is very disappointed by the manner of his side's performance on the day.

Cech told Sky Sports: "I am very disappointed. This is not the game to lose. It was a huge game for both teams and they managed to win. At half-time we were in the game and wanted to improve.

"When I saved the ball from Eriksen I saw the ball going away and I thought we were safe but then it ended in the back of the net. I haven't seen the replay yet. We need to win the remaining games and hope that some of the others slip up. It is clear for us now."
