Arsenal keep Carabao Cup hopes alive with victory over Leeds

Arsenal's hopes of ending their Carabao Cup drought are alive after Tuesday's win over Leeds United.

The Gunners claimed a 2-0 victory thanks to second-half goals from Calum Chambers and Eddie Nketiah.

Chambers broke the deadlock just seconds after coming on as a substitute, with his header just squeezing over the line despite the best efforts of Illan Meslier.

Meslier was unfortunate again when Nketiah flicked the ball over his head and was able to beat the scrambling goalkeeper.

Leeds looked the more threatening side but were once again cut up defensively.

Arsenal are hoping to win the Carabao Cup for the first-time since 1993 and will now wait in anticipation for their quarter-final opponents.
