Arsenal are keen on Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler.

The Mirror says Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is ready to shake up his squad this summer as he is braced for some big name departures as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could go and they expect to raise serious cash.

They have been looking at Soler for a while and the 23-year-old signed a new deal in December but that has not put off potential suitors but does mean there is a £140m buy-out clause.

That sort of cash is clearly out of Arsenal's league but there will be interest this summer with Atletico Madrid also watching developments and it will depend on whether Valencia can be tempted to sell.

Arsenal made discreet enquiries before Soler signed his new deal and have been impressed with his recent performances, including scoring in the Champions League against Manchester United last season.
