Arsenal have jumped into the battle for Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare.

Sky Sports says the Gunners are interested in acquiring his services with Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea also keen.

The defensive midfielder has impressed in Ligue 1 and the Champions League this season, making 24 appearances in all competitions.

Soumare could reportedly be sold within the next 10 days but Lille would like to have him on their books until after they face Paris Saint-Germain on January 26.

The Frenchman swapped the Parc des Princes for Lille on a free transfer after failing to break into the first team.

LaLiga sides Real Madrid and Valencia have also been linked to the midfielder in recent months.
