Arsenal are interested in Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo.
Sky Italia says Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is keen for some reinforcements in midfield - particularly with Thomas Partey absent at the Africa Cup of Nations - and a loan move for Arthur has been discussed.
However, the Gunners are yet to make contact with the Serie A club about any deal.
It comes as a move for Lyon midfielder Bruno Guimaraes looks less likely, due to the £37.5m price-tag involved.
Arthur has previously been linked with a move to Tottenham, though that was before his switch to Italy in 2020.
