Arsenal increasingly nervous Wenger will walk

Arsenal's board are growing increasingly concerned over Arsene Wenger's contract stand-off.

The Mail on Sunday says the fears in the Arsenal boardroom are intensified by the rumour emanating in France that Monaco, where Wenger first made his mark as a manager, are poised to offer him a staggering deal.

Wenger has still not signed a new contract at the Emirates and even if Arsenal end their trophy drought with an FA Cup win next month, it may not be enough to convince him to stay.

Despite the argument Arsenal need to be freshened up with a new manager so they can challenge for the Premier League title, the board still want Wenger to sign for at least two more years.
