Arsenal will take their time as they look for a new technical director to replace Sven Mislintat.

The Gunners had hoped they would be signing Monchi after he left the Roma post recently.

Monchi has previous history of working with Unai Emery at Sevilla. But the Spaniard has chosen a return to the Andalusian club instead.

According to he Evening Standard, Arsenal will now take their time to find the right man for the job.

They were also turned down by former midfielder Edu, who is happy to remain in his role with Brazil.
