Arsenal hero Wilshere 'happy' after full AGF debut: Premier League atmosphere

Arsenal hero Jack Wilshere was delighted to make his full debut for AGF in their 1-1 draw at Brondby on Sunday.

Wilshere enjoyed an 80 minute run on the day.

"It was really good and pretty much like a Premier League match. The atmosphere and intensity of the match was really high," he later said.

"Brøndby started really well, and we knew that. We had to try to solve their system and the way they played and how we could push them and win the ball back.

"When we found out, we got hold of the ball and played some good football, but I would probably say that a point is fair."

The Englishman continued: "We knew it was a difficult place to play. The boys told me before the match how difficult it is always to get here against a good team with good fans. In the first 20 minutes you saw that in matches like these you have to absorb the pressure and the atmosphere and try to find your place in the match.

"We had to figure out how to press, and I think we improved as the match progressed and in the second half we were the best team."

Wilshere enjoyed being back in a starting lineup.

"It felt good to play in such a beautiful stadium with good fans. I missed that feeling so it was good to go out there, start inside and be involved.

"I was feeling really good until around the 75th minute, when I started to get a little cramped, but that's normal. I've not played that long in eight months or anything. It felt good and I'm happy."
