Arsenal hero Sol Campbell urges Arteta and Ozil to make-up

Arsenal legend Sol Campbell believes it is time for manager Mikel Arteta to patch things up with star Mesut Ozil.

The two are not on good terms, and Ozil has not been involved with the team since the Premier League restarted after the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is unclear if he will play any role when the new season begins in September.

Arsenal want Ozil sold so his salary can come off the wage bill, but he has not agreed to any move yet.

Campbell said of the situation, per talkSPORT: "Obviously, internally there is something going on. It's all there for everyone to see. I think it's going to come down to how they approach it and the conversations they have in private. How Ozil trains and things like that. It's really going to come down to that.

"They need to come together somehow but if there's a standoff then nothing is going to happen.

"Someone's got to give and to give in is not always to lose. You don't always have to give in and it means you are losing.

"It's just sometimes you have to meet halfway."
