Arsenal head of performance Shad Forsythe could yet stay next season.

Forsythe has been in talks with AC Milan.

But BBC Sport says Darren Burgess will vacate his role as Arsenal's director of high performance this summer.

It is claimed the decision to part with Burgess was taken after the Gunners' defeat to Chelsea in the Europa League Final.

That could consequently open the door to a promotion for Forsythe, who appeared set for a role with the Rossoneri.
