Arsenal will compete in the Community Shield for next season's curtain raiser.

With Manchester City defeating Manchester United in the FA Cup final, it means Arsenal will now face City in the Community Shield.

The Wembley clash takes place between the prior season's Premier League champions and FA Cup winners. However, when the same team wins both, the team that finished second in the league will play instead.

With Arsenal finishing second in the league they will now face City in the Community Shield come August.

It will mark the 17th time Arsenal have appeared in the game.
